Cattle - Junior Judging Competition
Description

Sharpen your eye for cattle! The Junior Judging Competition gives young exhibitors the chance to step up as judges, assessing cattle on structure, temperament, and presentation. Open to junior entrants, this event encourages confidence, decision-making, and industry knowledge—all while being part of a valued Show tradition.

Judging commences at 10 am at the Cattle Ring.

Conditions of Entry

- ALL AGES TO BE APPLICABLE ON 1st October 2025.
- ALL exhibits must be NLIS tagged and will be scanned and sighted by the Show Society on the day, before the event.
- All cattle/exhibitors must provide a clearly printed PIC on their entry form.
- Rutherglen Agricultural Society’s PIC is 3INCP099
- All exhibits are shown and stalled at risk of the exhibitor, and no responsibility can be accepted by the Society in respect of these exhibits.
- If, in the opinion of the Committee, any exhibits are deemed dangerous, the owner shall immediately remove the exhibit from the Showgrounds, upon notice to that effect.
- Junior Paraders Classes are for cattle registered with a recognised Breed Society and led commercial heifers and steers.
- Classes may be split or combined based on availability of animals and number of competitors.
- All Cattle must be led and able to be tied up. 
- All male exhibits of cattle over the age of twelve (12) months shall be ringed through the nose, and when on parade or going to and from shall be led by such ring.
- All cattle over six (6) months are recommended to have nose clips.
- Each exhibitor is required to see that each of his exhibits is securely tethered in its stall and be tethered by a halter and neck strap.
- A Parader must be attired in suitable clothing including solid shoes or boots.
- Each competitor may enter only one class.
